As I stated earlier in this commentary, “the bible has been revised and rewritten on so many occasions, that the true meaning of many of the chapters and verses have been altered.” As well as the fact that, scripture is often written in allegorical and parable format so as to teach a lesson in a story that we all can relate to. The story of Lot and his daughters has to be approached with caution and clarity. Lot was not a willing participant in the actions of his daughters; this is why they had to get him drunk in order to carry out their plan of sleeping with him. The story of Lot and Sodom and Gomorrah carries with it a deep lesson of ego, emotions and impatience. I caution the listeners of this commentary to be very careful with its content, and listen to the way in which the commentary is delivered. Most importantly, I caution the listeners to keep in mind that God Makes No Mistakes, if he allowed the incident to occur between Lot and his daughters, it has a divine meaning and lesson attached to it. Even if the story never happened, if it was added into the book by some overzealous scribe, we must still keep in mind that God Allowed it to be, so there must be a reason for doing so. Scripture comes equipped with lessons for the past, present and future. And most importantly, to prove that God is all wise and all knowing. It is from this view point that I published this commentary. And it is from this view point that I sincerely pray that the listeners will absorb the commentary. God Is The Greatest
